Cosplay: Comicverse Wendy

To celebrate the Middleman table read at SDCC 2009, I dressed as Wendy Watson, as she appears in the Middleman comic book. Most of the elements were store-bought, though I cropped the jacket, blouse, and tie to match her outfit and repainted the gun.

This was my first time using a sewing machine without my mother looking over my shoulder. Thank you, Project Runway, for granting me the confidence to make basic alterations!

After the table read, I met two other Wendy cosplayers, conveniently representing the two looks Wendy wore on the TV show. Together, we formed the WENDY TRIFECTA UNSTOPPABILITY! We met the whole cast, who rushed to snap photos of all of us, to our great glee! Javi, creator of the series, and Natalie Morales, who played Wendy on the TV show, were generous enough to pose with us. I think we won at fandom that day.
