Codex Alera Map by priscellie Codex Alera Map by priscellie
I teamed up with Jim Butcher, author of the Dresden Files and the Codex Alera, to create a map of Alera. It was published in "First Lord's Fury," sixth and final novel in that series, and I understand it will also be included in upcoming paperback reprints of the first four books. I'm so thrilled to be a part of it!

You can download the map as desktop wallpaper in a multitude of sizes at [link] , and you can buy an 18"x24" poster of the map at [link]!

I also have larger versions of the Marat and Canim characters in my gallery: [link] and [link]

Shout-outs go to forum members Belgarion, Kokolores, and Tsunami for their exceptional work on the fan-made map, which served as a great reference point for the project. Thanks also to Lee Gibbons for permitting me to use the furycrafting sigils from his UK book covers.

Oh wow, I never noticed just how centered around Alera Imperia the whole kingdom was. Also, there are FOUR main cities at the coastline! No wonder piracy was so rampant.

It's a shame the other parts of the world aren't really explored all that much.

Nice work. This looks very authentic. As if it was something that could be found hung in many grand castle libraries. (Although the little Calderon snippet woud probably be replaced with something else. A legend?)

That's a beautiful map. One nitpick:

Aren't Kordholt and Aricholt the same site, give that Aric inherited his father's Steadholt?

Thanks! And yup, I screwed up. Aricholt should be Aldoholt.

Wow.....That is just epic. One thing: Why is Isanaholt still marked as Bernardholt?

The map depicts Alera at the beginning of the series. It's printed in "Furies of Calderon" as well, and we didn't want the map to contain spoilers! I messed up with Aldoholt, though. I accidentally called it "Aricholt," and I didn't catch it until it was too late.

Such a shame I got into this series too late and the maps are sold out >:

Still love this map though! I open it up here every time there's a new place being talked about in the books as I read them!

This is just terrific! I was listening to Cursor's Fury the other day and realized that I had no idea where people were in relation to Alera Imperia. This helps tremendously and is just awesome!

This is just...stunning. Beautiful job, and you are extremely lucky to have been able to work with him. I'm looking forward to purchasing First Lord's Fury so that I'll have my own copy of this.

Go Priscellie!! Love the map. (Huge fan of the books.) I really like the picture details of the Marat and Cane (and the leviathan!); the whole thing's awesome. I didn't know Jim was putting the map into reprints of the other books! Must resist urge to buy them all again... ;)

Great work, really excellent!
